Obituary

Charles Benjamin Mabie Jr., age 72, of White Pigeon, Michigan, passed away on October 17, 2026.

Born on January 24, 1954, in Goshen, Indiana, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Marjorie Mabie, Sr. Those who knew him will remember a man who was steady, kind, and genuine, with a way of making others feel welcome and at ease. He lived his life with quiet strength and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made each day meaningful.

Charles spent much of his working life at Jayco, where he retired after years of dedicated service. He was respected by those who worked alongside him for his reliability, his strong work ethic, and the good humor he brought to the workplace. He took pride in doing his job well and valued the friendships and connections he made along the way. His years at Jayco were an important part of his life, and he left behind a legacy of commitment and dependability.

Outside of work, Charles found happiness in the things that brought him peace and pleasure. He loved cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with the people he cared about. He also loved being outdoors, especially when he could spend time by the river. He had an awesome sense of humor and was known for his ability to make others laugh, often brightening a room with his wit and easygoing personality.

Family was central to Charles’s life. He is survived by his loving spouse, Beth Ann Mabie; his siblings, Cindy Cavinder, Christine Mabie, Cheryl (Sean) Grainger, and John (Chris) Covington; and several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives who will cherish his memory. He shared his life with those he loved in ways both big and small, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by Charles and Marjorie Mabie, Sr.. He will be remembered for the values he upheld, the laughter he shared, and the care he showed to those around him.

Charles Benjamin Mabie Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and hard work. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many lives he touched throughout his years.

In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held.
