Obituary

Lorel A. Milliken, age 85, passed away on August 8, 2026, in Goshen, leaving behind a life marked by love, family, and many cherished memories.

She was born on October 6, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana. Lorel was a woman who found joy in the simple and meaningful things, and she shared that joy generously with those around her. Her life was centered on the people she loved, and she took great pride in being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Lorel is survived by her children, Loron Morris and Mark Milliken and his wife Denise. She was a loving grandmother to Holly (Anders) Forsgren and Danielle Morris, and she delighted in her great-grandchildren, Harmony and Quinton Sattelmaier. Her family was the heart of her world, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Milliken; her grandson, David Morris, and by her parents, Charles and Donna Skiver. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried her family history with quiet dignity and affection.

Lorel enjoyed a variety of pastimes that reflected her love of companionship and the outdoors. She enjoyed golf, bowling, and fishing, and she appreciated the peaceful rhythms of life by the water. She especially loved living on Stone Lake, where she found comfort, beauty, and a sense of home.

More than anything, Lorel loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found great happiness in their laughter, their visits, and the special bond they shared. Her presence brought warmth and reassurance to her family, and she will be remembered for the love she gave so freely.

Lorel A. Milliken’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, family, and the enduring value of time spent with those who matter most. Though she will be deeply missed, the legacy of her kindness and the many memories she created will remain a source of comfort and blessing for years to come.
